Victor of Tucson: Finished, and It's One of My Favorites

Final verdict on Victor of Tucson: finished it, and holy shit, what a ride. This series hooked me hard. Giving it a solid 8.9/10 — one of my favorites now, full stop.

The main character

Victor just fucking nails it. There's a realness to him that makes you root for the guy every step of the way. That grounded power system I kept bringing up in earlier updates? Paid off completely. Kept everything believable and intense as hell, which was a relief. Flashy powers are cheap if there's nothing real behind them.

The progression, and the payoff

Loved that the progression wasn't rushed. A lot of books blow through character development — this one took its damn time. That slow-burn pacing I flagged before actually worked. Watching Victor grow felt earned, not handed to him. No shortcuts, just a solid buildup that pays off big by the end.

The fights

Pure gold. The combat is on point — exciting and detailed enough to get your heart pounding. You feel every stake. It's like being right in the middle of it without ever leaving your damn couch.

[Narration note] Robb Moreira's narration is spot on. His voice brings the whole thing to life and adds another layer to an already fantastic series.

Victor of Tucson keeps you on your toes with action, depth, and character work that actually lands. Now I'm just sitting here waiting on the next book — if it's anything like this one, we're in for something special.
