A running log of whatever I'm mid-book on. Shorter than a full post — just quick check-ins.
Dungeon Crawler Carl — the whole series, all the way through. Still my favorite overall despite the latest book being a slight letdown. Full writeup (and the story of meeting the author and narrator) is here.
Diving into Bastion (Immortal Great Souls, Book 1) by Phil Tucker, narrated by Nick Podehl. Kinda wild so far with Scorio waking up in this hellish city, no memories, and apparently he's some "Great Soul" ready to do battle. It's a massive listen at over 38 hours and I'm just scratching the surface — but it's got that LitRPG vibe that makes it worth the time investment.
Checking out Mage Tank by Cornman, with Daniel Wisniewski on narration. Arlo, the main dude, gets hit by a freakin' falling tree, dies, and ends up in a LitRPG world. Instead of going the usual power route, he pours everything into Fortitude, becoming a tanky spellcaster. Only 7% in and already giving me those Dungeon Crawler Carl feels, which is always a good sign.
Victor of Tucson — 8.9/10, one of my favorites now. Loved the main character, the progression, the fights. Full verdict here.
Working through the list from Other Progression Fantasy Series I Want to Try — probably starting with He Who Fights with Monsters or Cradle next.
Still rotating Sanderson's Cosmere in between everything else. That's less a "reading now" thing and more a permanent background process.
